Miss Orkut: November 2007

"Miss Orkut" is a Monthly Beauty Contest. It helds in Community-Orkut's Most Beautiful People,on Orkut. It started in month of August-2006,That was the first time when any Beauty contest was organised on Orkut. The Contest named "Most Beautiful on Orkut-August 2006".Later it named as Miss Orkut August-2006. Shray Maheshwary, a member of the community, Organised This contest,and this contest is Hot topic in the community. Basis of selecting a Winner is "Through Voting system". This System got a lot of appreciation because of Fair-results.Muskaan syed from United Kingdom was crowned First Miss Orkut. same year ,this contest held again in the month of September,October & November. Miss Orkut September 2006 title holder was Anjali. Winners got a lot of Praise and they experienced Celebrity kind of status on orkut. At the time of selecting winners in month of September-2006, There was a tie Between two girls for top position between Gayathri and Anjali. So both girls were selected as a winner .but for diffrent months .Anjali got the Title of Miss Orkut September 2006 & Gayathri grabbed The title for Miss Orkut November 2006. Miss Orkut held in October and Miss Orkut October 2006 was Ashes, a very pretty girl .After 2006 November the contest almost disappeared from the Community. Miss Orkut 2006 also held but Result was not declared because of issues and only Ten Finalists were declared. Than after the Gap of 10 Months, the contest started in Month of September-2007 again . Situations were Almost changed.Orkut Having almost 10 millions member in 2006 was increased to 70 millions.Communities upgraded with some new things, like polls and Moderators .But still Miss Orkut September 2007 held in tht community. Miss Orkut September 2007 -contest remained in the community for one month. It started on 1st September and Winner was declared on 28th September. It was most popular-Topic in the community in september. Contest gained a lot of appreciation and Popularity. 34 Girls showed Their Intrest in the contest. 30 girls got chance to participate in the contest. Firstly Poll was created for 30 girls and TOP-20 girls reached to semi-final round.But For semi-final ,poll was not created because of some allegation on girls that they are getting Fake-Votes in polls. So Contest again adopted its Old and unique style of selecting winner through Community-thread . Top-10 And after that Miss Orkut September 2007 was selected.Miss Saima, A medical student was Crowned Miss Orkut September-2007.Saima know eight languages..Miss Sehej was First runner up and Arpu was Second runner up. Miss Orkut September-2007 . Miss Orkut Sept-2007 Faced a lot of critisisms too, because it created many fights in the community. Reasons of fighting was "Requesting members to vote".But Contest Finished in happy way after declaration of Fair-winners and runners up. Miss Orkut October was Shortest Version of Miss Orkut contest. First time Winner of one month was declared in next month,winner was declared in month of November. One more new thing was added in the contest,which was selecting color to be write with name of the contestant along with a tag line provided to the contestant related to the color she chosed.Sehej Soni First Runner up of Miss Orkut September 2006 Played an important role for the succession of October contest,She gave the Tag line to many contestants of October and Worked as an Assistant Organiser of the Contest.and Miss Orkut -October 2007 and present title holder is Miss Rashika-"Da Golden gal". and First runner is Ria and Second Runner up Miss Dhara .
